Joshua Kimmich Breaks Silence on Bayern Munich Future Amid PSG Rumors

Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich is reportedly on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar. The 28-year-old’s contract expires in 2025, and he has yet to agree on a new contract with the German club.

Although rumors are filling the air, Kimmich did address his future recently. Speaking to Sky Sport, the midfielder noted his focus on this 2023-24 season and has no desire to leave the Bundesliga side this January transfer window.

“I’m actually just focused on Bayern,” Kimmich said. “For me, that [a move] wasn’t a topic at all in winter. I think at some point, the club will approach me, and we’ll sit together. Everything that will be discussed, we’ll discuss with each other – and not with you [the media].”

Furthermore, the Parisians’ club chief, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, was recently on Rothen s’enflamme and was asked about the Ligue 1 side pursuing Kimmich, which now would be something to consider in the summer.

PSG considers Kimmich the perfect addition to their team, recognizing and appreciating his versatility. However, Kimmich is not the sole player they are monitoring for the upcoming summer; Bruno Guimarães is another prospect the French giants may consider acquiring in the coming months. Whatever transpires, it appears the capital club could spend big money on a midfielder soon.
