Corinthians on Hold as PSG Insists on Further Medical Evaluation for Moscardo

Gabriel Moscardo was supposed to be part of the Paris Saint-Germain squad this month. The 18-year-old would’ve joined the capital club alongside Lucas Beraldo. However, that wasn’t the case.

PSG had finalized everything to acquire Moscardo for €20 million, with €2 million in additional bonuses. However, a medical examination detected an injury to the young player’s left foot. He will undergo surgery, and his future remains uncertain.

GOAL Brasil reports that there is the possibility of disrupting the negotiations, and the agreement may be sealed only in July 2024. Despite the injury, PSG was expected to announce Moscardo’s arrival.

However, the French team exercised caution in the negotiations and delayed the announcement until the next medical assessment. Corinthians is awaiting a response from Paris Saint-Germain amidst the player’s medical issue.

The São Paulo-based club does not want to clash with the French in this negotiation. The objective is to facilitate the player’s transfer, particularly considering the reinforcements acquired for the position in this transfer window.
