On Sunday, a report surfaced that AC Milan’s Rafael Leão is on Paris Saint-Germain’s radar for the summer transfer window. The capital club could be looking to replace the production they might lose if Kylian Mbappé leaves.
Last June, Leão extended his contract with the Serie A side. Nonetheless, it’s surprising that the Portugal international would contemplate leaving less than a year after committing to AC Milan until 2028.
According to information from Il Corriere dello Sport (h/t Le10Sport), the player’s entourage would have informed him of this interest from PSG, which would have prompted him to deeply reflect on his future, even though he has extended his contract with AC Milan until 2028.
Matteo Moretto from Relevo has verified PSG’s interest in Leão for the upcoming summer. Currently, there are no ongoing negotiations between the parties; however, Leão is informed about PSG’s interest. Moretto has also disclosed that the AC Milan standout has a release clause set at €175 million.
Leão has scored six goals and registered six assists in 24 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A side this season.
