Paris Saint-Germain went through to the UEFA Champions League knockout stage in nail-biting fashion. Now, they’ll have to look forward to Monday’s draw to see who they face in the round of 16.
Still, getting to the knock stage came with drama. At one point, the French giants were in the UEFA Europa League, but they secured the outcomes needed to advance, including the 1-1 draw against Borussia Dortmund.
The Ligue 1 side fell 1-0 after the German club opened the scoring, and it didn’t help that Newcastle United also went up 1-0 on AC Milan. Nonetheless, the tide turns in PSG’s favor in a few minutes.
Warren Zaire-Emery scored the game-tying goal, and Christian Pulisic leveled the scoring against the Magpies. AC Milan would take the lead and win, which put PSG in the knockout stages.
