Transfer Gossip: PSG Had Eyes on This Juventus Veteran Player

At a time when Gianluigi Donnarumma is facing criticism over his performance, news has now come out that Paris Saint-Germain had their eyes on a veteran goalkeeper.

When Donnarumma arrived in 2021, it appeared the French giants had their goalkeeper for the next decade. However, mental mishaps during his tenure now have some second-guessing about whether PSG should consider other options.

Did PSG target a Juventus star shot-stopper?

Polish journalist Maciej Siemiatkowski revealed that the Parisian upper echelons were considering the Old Lady’s goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny, to strengthen the position.

“This summer, PSG and American clubs showed their interest in Szczesny, but he is in line with Juventus and the club’s options for the future,” Siemiatkowski told TV Play (h/t Fichajes). “If the club continues to trust him, he has no doubts about his Bianconero future.”

Arnau Ténas has made two starts for Paris Saint-Germain. Slowly, people are beginning to see the quality traits of the 22-year-old goalkeeper.

In two appearances, Ténas has only conceded one goal. Despite leaving FC Barcelona for more playing time, a recruiter for the Spanish giants believes PSG might have a gem on their hands.

But more importantly, many are now wondering if the Spaniard can challenge Donnarumma for the starting job and possibly take it from him.
