Paris Saint-Germain reportedly wants a midfielder this January transfer window. One of the targets linked to the French giants is AS Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana.
Recently, L’Equipe du Soir pundit Dominic Sévérac revealed two players that the Ligue 1 side is monitoring to possibly pursue, and one of them is Fofana. However, if sporting advisor Luis Campos does see the Frenchman with favorable eyes, they’ll need to act fast.
PSG faces competition for Youssouf Fofana
As the winter window opens in a few weeks, Mundo Deportivo reports that Fofana is one of FC Barcelona’s targets to bolster their midfield. The Monaco midfielder’s contract expires in 2025. So, the Ligue 1 side could be open to selling if the player isn’t keen on extending his deal.
The French side has recently seen their name linked to various midfielders. It will be interesting to see if PSG does decide to pull a deal. Regardless, Campos might want to acquire one to help them in the second half of the 2023-24 season.
