Report: PSG Secures Top Brazilian Talent, Edging Past Chelsea and AC Milan

Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly bolster their midfield this January transfer window with the arrival of Corinthians’ Gabriel Moscardo. After several discussions, the 18-year-old will be heading to the French capital.

UOL Esporte’s Bruno Andrade reports that the Parisians will pay €20 million plus €2 million in add-ons. Furthermore, the payment details were known as PSG will pay the total transfer fee in three installments.

Moscardo will sign a five-year contract to begin his career in European football. Additionally, in the process of signing the Brazilian, the Ligue 1 side beat out Chelsea and AC Milan.

The signing of Moscardo wraps up the double swoop in Brazil. Aside from the reported addition of the Corinthians star, PSG will welcome São Paulo FC defender Lucas Beraldo to strengthen the center-back position.

Transfer window expert Fabrizio Romano reports the Parisians paid €20 million without any add-ons to secure the player. It will be interesting to see whether PSG will make further transfers in the coming weeks or if this concludes their winter transfer business.
