According to Jacobs, PSG confidently navigates Mbappé’s future. The Frenchman has the option to prolong his contract and remain a vital part of the club, or alternatively, he could choose to extend his contract with the intention of being sold.
Despite the outcome, Paris ensures financial stability, even if Mbappé departs on a free transfer this summer.

If he chooses to extend then the reality is that Real Madrid will NEVER put in a bid so it will effectively seal him in the Qatari tomb because no club will pay that amount. The Qataris talked a lot of rubbish when the last time RM put in a bid ($200M) – that hour of civility is firmly past.
It is not a decision of whether he wants to come to RM… that is known. It is a firm yes/no to avoid backhanded deals like last time. BTW: He is not a necessity. The (new) best player in the world is already in Madrid. That’s what happens when you delay.
