PSG’s Brazilian Coup: Advancing Talks for Barcelona Transfer Target Moscardo

Paris Saint-Germain could be preparing for a double swoop of Brazilian gems as the January transfer window opens. According to a report, the Ligue 1 side would secure the defender Lucas Beraldo.

Meanwhile, the other gem from the South American nation is Corinthians midfielder Gabriel Moscardo. The 18-year-old is one of FC Barcelona’s top midfield targets. However, it seems PSG has the inside track to secure the starlet.

According to Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna, PSG is in advanced negotiations with Corinthians for Moscardo. The report states that the French giants are willing to pay €22 million plus €3 million in bonuses to secure the player.

A move for Moscardo would add another talented young midfielder to the group, including Manuel Ugarte, Kang-in Lee, Vitinha, and Warren Zaire-Emery.

It will be interesting to see if PSG lands the deal for the remainder of the season or if the Ligue 1 side will allow him to remain at Corinthians until the summer. Nonetheless, a coup of two talented Brazilian players would be a significant success for sporting advisor Luis Campos.
