Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Arnau Ténas made his Ligue 1 debut in the 2-0 win over Le Havre AC on Sunday at the Stade Oceane. However, it wasn’t the exact scenario that the 22-year-old thought of when he’d be between the pipes for PSG.
After Gianluigi Donnarumma was given a red card for his foul less than 10 minutes into the contest, Ténas stepped in. Furthermore, to make the debut a little more challenging, the French giants were playing with 10 men.
Nonetheless, it wasn’t an issue for the Spaniard.
Arnau Ténas: Ligue 1 debut was a special moment
Ténas made seven saves for PSG, keeping the clean sheet and denying the chances that Le Havre were generating. Despite playing down a man, the Parisians did score two goals, courtesy of Kylian Mbappé and Vitinha, to help out the young goalkeeper.

Afterward, he spoke to Prime Video after his spectacular performance that had Ténas filled with emotions.
“Yes, it’s incredible,” Ténas said (h/t Paris Fans). “I made my debut with PSG. It’s a magnificent club. The rival had a good match, and our team had a great, magnificent match. We were there every minute of the match. It’s a perfect day for me.”
With Donnarumma suspended, Ténas will get the start next weekend against FC Nantes at the Parc des Princes.
