Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly beaten Arsenal and Liverpool FC to sign one of the top Brazilian defenders playing in South America ahead of this January transfer window.
According to a recent report, Arsenal and Liverpool are keen on the Brazilian defender Lucas Beraldo. However, the French giants might be walking away with the talented player.
Brazilian journalist Gabriel Sá reported on Monday that São Paulo FC has agreed to sell 20-year-old center-back Lucas Beraldo to PSG for €20 million plus €5 million in bonuses. Beraldo will travel to Paris next week to complete the transfer.

The Ligue 1 side needs to improve their defense heading into 2024 and their UEFA Champions League round of 16 matchup against Real Sociedad, and Beraldo could be that player to help them.
Furthermore, PSG could bring Beraldo along behind Marquinhos, Milan Skriniar, and Danilo Pereira before he challenges for the starting job. Nonetheless, sporting advisor Luis Campos continues to stock up on young players who could take this project to the next level.
