Paris Saint-Germain could be looking for a midfielder this January transfer window. However, the French giants aren’t pursuing one Manchester United veteran who could be looking for a way out of Old Trafford.

A recent report from The Sun noted that Casemiro was on PSG’s radar. The Brazilian hasn’t had the most successful tenure at Old Trafford. However, much like most British tabloids, the information wasn’t accurate.

Simon Stone, a journalist for the BBC (h/t Culture PSG), indicates that a source close to the Red Devils confirmed that the Parisian club had not yet shown interest in the Brazilian.

According to Stone, it is likely that Manchester United has recognized the significance of Casemiro, who has been out of action due to injury since the start of November.

This realization might have come to them during their recent matches. Manchester United is having a difficult season, with many defeats in all competitions and poor performances.

PSG is pursuing Gabriel Moscardo, an 18-year-old defensive midfielder from Corinthians who recently visited Paris. However, he’d likely be more of an option for the summer transfer window, not the expected reinforcement in the midfield for January.
