PSG vs. Dortmund: Marquinhos on Approach to Clash Without Dembélé

Paris Saint-Germain is in a must-win contest when they face Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday night at Signal Iduna Park. However, the capital club will be without one key member of their attack: Ousmane Dembélé.

For PSG, a win puts them in the UEFA Champions knockout stage, although there are other ways to advance. Nonetheless, a victory over the German side is the most straightforward way.

How will PSG compensate for the lack of Ousmane Dembélé?

Nonetheless, the Ligue 1 side will be without Dembélé as he’s suspended for the game due to yellow card accumulation. As a result, manager Luis Enrique has to construct a game plan that compensates for the Frenchman’s loss.

Marquinhos spoke to reporters on Tuesday and discussed the approach PSG will have facing Dortmund without the 26-year-old.

“He is a player who brings a lot,” Marquinhos told reporters (h/t Paris Fans). “But there were absentees in other matches, and there are other players present. The player who is present will know what to do and will be ready. The coach prepares everyone in the best way. Ousmane brings us a lot, but tomorrow he won’t be there, and the player present will do his best.”

It will be interesting to see if PSG and Enrique can secure all three points without their best creator. With all that’s at stake in the match, it’s a side story to some, who will follow to see if the Parisians miss him in their lineup.
