Luis Enrique and Kylian Mbappé Bond Unchanged After PSG-Dortmund Drama

Kylian Mbappé didn’t hide his frustration with Paris Saint-Germain’s late-game strategy. Nonetheless, while the Frenchman had his issues, don’t expect this to possibly influence his decision ahead of the January transfer window.

Manager Luis Enrique opted to protect the 1-1 tie and finish in second place in Group F. PSG had plenty of time to get the second goal and claim the top spot. However, when AC Milan scored to make it 2-1, the Spanish boss opted to protect their draw rather than be aggressive.

While some Spanish outlets might blow this situation out of proportion, there’s little to do about the issue. RMC Sport reports that Mbappé’s frustration after the match against Dortmund has no chance of altering the relationship of trust between him and Luis Enrique.

Both men appreciate each other. The Frenchman is also grateful to Enrique, who pushed a lot to get him out of the loft in the summer. The two men must now prepare for the UEFA Champions League knockout stage.

As for Mbappé, the Real Madrid rumors are beginning to spread as the January transfer window approaches in a few days. Whatever the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner decides, don’t expect this to hamper his stance on continuing at PSG.
