Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola scored his first goal with the French giants in the 2-1 win over FC Nantes on Saturday night at the Parc des Princes.

Barcola had a give-and-go with Vitinha, leading to his shot to beat Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont late in the first half. After the win, the young Frenchman spoke with Free Ligue 1 and offered an initial reaction to scoring that first goal, especially since it came at home.

“I was waiting for this goal, and I think it will do me a lot of good,” Barcola said (h/t Paris Fans). “It’s a source of pride. I was really waiting for it.”

Furthermore, Barcola elaborated further on the match against Nantes. The Parisians had to battle to secure the three points as the opposition leveled the scoring in the second half. Nonetheless, Randal Kolo Muani would score against his former club to give PSG the win.

“It was a pretty tough win, a really compact team that defended really well,” Barcola added. “It was complicated to score this first goal, and legalization hurt us. We didn’t give up, and this goal at the end of the match is rather deserved.”

After securing the win, PSG will now focus on the Bundesliga side. The capital club holds the key to their Champions League fate in the Signal Iduna Park clash on Wednesday.
