Real Madrid will reportedly look to go on the offensive when the January transfer window opens in a few days. One of the objectives will be to seal the signing of Kylian Mbappé.
Los Blancos have reportedly set a deadline for the Frenchman to accept their offer. Furthermore, on Sunday, RMC Sport pundit Daniel Riolo stated that he believes the Spanish side will stand firm with their deadline date.
“Let’s admit, yes, it will be the soap opera that will resume,” Riolo said (h/t Le10Sport). “Real is not going to drag out the soap opera. It will be: You say yes or no; we want to know right away.”
Meanwhile, at PSG, L’Equipe reports that the Ligue 1 side still hopes to secure a new contract extension for Mbappé. The ball is in the 24-year-old’s court. Paris has evaluated two project scenarios – one involving Mbappé and the other excluding him.
Still, with Paris Saint-Germain punching their ticket to the UEFA Champions League round of 16, it’s hard to envision a decision occurring next month. It will be interesting to see how this entire saga plays out and whether January is when there’s an ending.
