As 2023 ends in a few days, TeamTalk compiled a top 16 list of the most expensive footballers as another year wraps up. There are players from prominent clubs on the list; meanwhile, other high-profile clubs don’t have a single player.
Four representatives from Real Madrid dominate the list, with additional players hailing from FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, and Napoli.
However, none of the four Premier League clubs—Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur—have a player on the list of the 16 most valuable footballers.
Here’s the list of players:
- Rodri – €100 million
- Declan Rice – €100 million
- Rodrygo – €100 million
- Lautaro Martinez – €100 million
- Florian Wirtz – €100 million
- Federico Valverde – €100 million
- Pedri – €100 million
- Phil Foden – €110 million
- Jamal Musiala – €110 million
- Harry Kane – €110 million
- Victor Osimhen – €120 million
- Bukayo Saka – €120 million
- Vinicius Junior – €150 million
- Jude Bellingham – €150 million
- Kylian Mbappe – €180 million
- Erling Haaland – €180 million
From a PSG perspective, it will be interesting to see if Mbappe’s value can go higher with a new contract and as he enters his prime years. Nonetheless, expect the Frenchman to always be at the top of these list types for the foreseeable future.
