Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé can sign a pre-contract in a few days, with his current deal expiring in June 2024. However, don’t expect a transfer to happen during the January window.
With the Ligue 1 side punching their ticket to the UEFA Champions League round of 16, the 25-year-old will reportedly see out the rest of the 2023-24 season with PSG.
According to L’Équipe, Mbappé wants to stay at PSG in the January transfer window. Despite the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner continuing to be linked with a move away from the French capital, he appears to be prepared to stay with the capital club, at least for now.
As per the latest report from L’Équipe, PSG is still in continuous discussions with the entourage of the French forward for a new contract. Moreover, he can extend his current deal for an additional year.
The first few days of the new year will be interesting to follow. Reports suggest that Real Madrid will have a deadline for their proposal to the Frenchman. Will they stand firm or allow wiggle room for this saga to drag out?
