The Kylian Mbappé transfer saga will begin in a few days. As a result, any interested club can approach the 25-year-old with a pre-contract, considering he’ll become a free agent next June.
Real Madrid will have all the eyeballs to see their stance regarding the Frenchman. If reports are accurate, the Spanish side will stand firm, as they have a deadline for how long Mbappé has to accept their proposal.
Is it time for Kylian Mbappé to leave PSG for Real Madrid?
In a podcast broadcast on Eurosport, Martin Mosnier, a specialist in Ligue 1 and the French national team, talks about his reasons for urging Paris Saint-Germain’s all-time top scorer to pack his bags.
“Kylian Mbappé has been with Paris Saint-Germain for six and a half years now, and I think he’s wasted enough time,” Mosnier said (h/t Foot01). “He’s 25, and it’s time for him to move on. All the great French players grew up abroad: Zinedine Zidane, Michel Platini, [and] Thierry Henry. They went to Real [Madrid], Juventus, [and] Arsenal; they grew up there and learned new things.
“It’ll be good for his career, but also for what he’ll be leaving behind, for his legacy. I hear that he wants to win the first Champions League in the history of Paris Saint-Germain, and that’s a noble goal. But he’s exhausted himself in that fight. It’s been six years, and nobody will blame him for fighting it. And I think that Paris has never been so far from winning the Champions League. It’s definitely time to go.”
As for PSG, the capital club leaders do not want to worry about the saga revolving around Mbappé. According to a report, the French giants are more concerned with improving the squad during the January transfer window.
Meanwhile, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will reportedly stick with PSG through the 2023-24 season. So, everyone, prepare yourself; the saga is about to begin.
