Ethan Mbappé Offers Emotional Reaction to Making PSG Debut vs. FC Metz

Paris Saint-Germain had a heartwarming moment in their 3-1 win over FC Metz on Wednesday night at the Parc des Princes. Late in the contest, Ethan Mbappé made his PSG debut, joining his older brother Kylian out on the pitch.

Despite the handful of minutes, it was a memorable night for the 16-year-old. After the match, the younger Mbappé spoke with PSG TV and revealed his emotions regarding the meaningful milestone.

“It’s a pleasure, especially having made my debut at the Parc,” the younger Mbappé told PSG TV. “I’m very happy, and I hope there will be more. I think it’s a great present for my brother. I’m very happy. He scored two great goals, so I think he’ll be happy.”

Furthermore, PSG manager Luis Enrique also spoke about the teenager’s debut. The Spanish boss doesn’t think this will be the only time supporters see the midfielder and believes he has a bright future with the Parisians.

“I’m sure he will play a lot of matches at Paris Saint-Germain,” Enrique told PSG TV. “He is already the present of the club and he will, I hope, be one of the players of the future.”

With Coupe de France matches and needing to rotate the squad, the younger Mbappé could see action that’s more than a few minutes at the end of the game. Enrique has shown he’ll trust young players, so for the youth product, he’ll need to take advantage of any opportunity.
