PSG vs. Dortmund: Edin Terzic Reveals Mindset to Thwart Kylian Mbappé

Borussia Dortmund will look to top Group F with a draw or win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night at Signal Iduna Park. Nonetheless, all the pressure is on the French giants.

It’s a must-win match for PSG, as a victory is a straightforward way for them to win the group and advance to the knockout stages. The stage sets itself up for Kylian Mbappé to have an impressive performance that puts the Parisians in the round of 16.

Ahead of the matchup, Dortmund manager Edin Terzic spoke to the media on how he and the squad intend to stop the Frenchman.

“Kylian is a top-level player,” Terzic told reporters (h/t Paris Fans). “Rather, we must see as a collective to stop it. But it will be challenging to stop him for 90 minutes.”

Is this a revenge game for Borussia Dortmund?

The last time PSG and Dortmund clashed was on Matchday 1; the Ligue 1 side came out on top 2-0. However, a lot has changed, one being that the French side has not won away from the Parc des Prince in this group stage. Still, Terzic doesn’t think this match is a revenge game for the German side.

“I think revenge is the wrong term,” Terzic said. “This is not our motivation. Above all, it’s the desire to win matches. We’re going to play in front of 80,000 people.

“We saw the qualities of the opponent. But we also saw that they have difficulty defending away. We showed last Saturday that we know how to be very courageous.”
