Donnarumma Replacement? PSG, Chelsea, & Man Utd Are Monitoring AC Milan Star

Over the last few matches, Gianluigi Donnarumma has found himself in valid criticism over mishaps. The Italian made a mistake in the 1-1 draw against Newcastle United and then received a red card in the 2-0 win over Le Havre.

As a result, could Paris Saint-Germain be eyeing another shot-stopper if the 2021 UEFA Euro winner continues to make these mental blunders? Who could be on their radar? Well, it might be a French international.

Could PSG want Mike Maignan to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma?

This past summer, the capital club drastically changed its transfer policy. PSG secured more French talent, bringing in players like Lucas Hernandez, Randal Kolo Muani, Bradley Barcola, and Ousmane Dembélé. As a result, the Parisians could take this approach with the goalkeeping position.

Foot Mercato reported on Monday that AC Milan is still discussing a new contract with Mike Maignan, whose contract expires in 2026. Talks between the two sides should go smoothly, as the goalkeeper is happy in Italy.

Nonetheless, should a hiccup in the discussions occur, Chelsea, Manchester United, PSG, and more top clubs remain attentive to the situation of Maignan.
