Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery missed the UEFA Champions League matchday 5 contest against Newcastle United. However, the teenager continues to be one of the top performers in the competition.
Squawka spotlighted several statistics after the most recent matchday, including the assists category. Even with missing one game, there’s only one player ahead of Zaïre-Emery on the list.
Bukayo Saka has provided more assists than any other player in the Champions League so far this season. Behind the Arsenal star is the 17-year-old, and he’s in a two-way tie for second place with Ivan Rakitić.

Unfortunately, the Frenchman will likely not play in the final matchday against Borussia Dortmund. PSG must win the contest to ensure they advance to the knockout stage. Although there is another way the Ligue 1 side can move on, the most straightforward way is a victory.
Still, the Parisians have a challenging task, considering they have yet to win on the road. It will be interesting to see if PSG can fill the teenager’s shoes for the crucial match.
