FIFA announced that Paris Saint-Germain will be one of the European squads playing in the 2025 Club World Cup, which takes place in the United States. This new tournament will replace the current annual format, where seven teams usually participate.

The next installment of this competition will begin in 2025, when, instead of seven clubs, it will expand to 32 teams. From a European perspective, there will be 12 teams, and PSG will be one of the clubs already having a spot in this tournament.

Along with PSG, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, SL Benfica, and FC Porto are the other clubs that will be there. There are also the UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Manchester City. Furthermore, some spots have yet to be determined.

The competition’s official name will be Mundial de Clubes FIFA, featuring clubs from the six confederations. PSG will be one of the favorites to win this competition, and there should be motivation to win the first edition of this new tournament.
