Wolverhampton Defender’s Agent Holds Ground Against January Move to PSG

Paris Saint-Germain is keen on adding a left-back when the January transfer window opens in a few weeks. However, sporting advisor Luis Campos might have to return to the drawing board as his No. 1 option might be unavailable.

Currently, PSG has Lucas Hernandez covering the left-back position, with Nordi Mukiele also shifting to occupy that role. Nonetheless, Campos likely wants another player with Nuno Mendes out, so the Portuguese club chief is eyeing Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rayan Aït-Nouri.

Sports Zone reports that Nouri is the No. 1 target for Campos once the January window opens. However, there’s a significant obstacle: his agent, Jorge Mendes. According to the report, Mendes doesn’t want his client to go to the French capital, as the agent wants long-term playing time guarantees.

At PSG, Nouri would likely rotate or compete for minutes at the left-back position. Mendes aims to secure a club for his client where he can start, as the Ligue 1 side cannot guarantee him a starting job.

If this hurdle remains, Campos might have to look at Plan B if he wants to land a left-back in January.
