Paris Saint-Germain still needs to punch their ticket to the UEFA Champions League round of 16. However, the capital club does control its destiny, as two wins to close out the group stage allow them to qualify for the knockout stages.
Nonetheless, should the French giants finish second in the group, there’s a chance that they can face Bayern Munich. Still, one person hopes a matchup between the two clubs doesn’t happen in the knockout stages.
Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel spoke about facing his former club and only wants that matchup to happen in one specific situation.
“Face PSG? I don’t really like playing against my old teams,” Tuchel told Canal+. “I don’t want to be heartbroken, but in a finale, why not.”

Currently, the French giants are in second place in Group F with six points, ahead of AC Milan (five points) and Newcastle United (six points). Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund holds the top spot with seven points.
Even though the French giants are in a challenging situation, Tuchel believes they can advance into the knockout stages.
“I watched Milan-PSG because I really liked my years in Paris with this team,” Tuchel added. “Milan was very strong. It was impressive. But I am convinced that Paris will qualify, even if it is a very tough group.”
