Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappé knows the 2024 Ballon d’Or is up for grabs. One of the ways that the 24-year-old can secure the top individual honor is by winning UEFA Euro 2024.
As a result, the Frenchman knows that going into the summer tournament is a huge opportunity to have an international trophy in his cabinet for his candidacy.
So, Mbappé is going in with the mindset that Les Bleus will win this competition, especially since Euro 2020 saw France be eliminated in the round of 16 and fell in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final.
“We are going to go to the Euro to win,” Mbappé told TF1 (h/t Paris Fans). “It’s up to us to do it now. Participating is not my thing, and you will never hear me say that you go to a competition without wanting to win.”
The PSG winger will have a busy summer, considering he has a chance to also play at the 2024 Summer Olympics, and the whole free agency is looming. The January transfer window is about to open, allowing Kylian Mbappé to negotiate with other clubs for a pre-contract.
Before deciding, Mbappé’s decision will probably depend on how PSG does in the UEFA Champions League. Where will he go? For now, it’s a mystery.
