Thierry Henry Raves About Defender Eyed by PSG, Atletico Madrid, & Real Madrid

Lille OSC defender Leny Yoro is one of the next rising stars in French football. Despite being 18 years old, the center-back is drawing attention from top European clubs.

Among those interested in Yoro are Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid, and Real Madrid. Furthermore, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, the France national under-21 team manager, gave glowing praise about the youngster.

“What he is doing is extraordinary,” Henry said (h/t Le10Sport)“Another young player who is having good matches. Warren Zaire-Emery attracts a little more attention by being at PSG, playing in the Champions League, he has just joined the A. But it’s true that Leny is doing a huge job at the moment.”

Football Transfers reports that Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are vying for the young center-back. The Lille defender is under contract with the Ligue 1 side until 2025. However, with several top European clubs interested, his time there might end soon.

The 18-year-old is already one of the defenders who wins the most duels in Ligue 1. Furthermore, the teenager is considered one of the best central defenders of his generation.

It will be interesting to see whether PSG can secure Yoro. The Parisians are building an excellent base of young French players with Warren Zaïre-Emery and Bradley Barcola, and they could see additions next summer.
