In a strategic move to fortify its squad, Paris Saint-Germain is gearing up to act aggressively in the upcoming winter transfer window. The capital club overhauled parts of their team this past summer, and they’re not stopping there.
While PSG has shown this 2023-24 season that they can play a dynamic offensive attack, the squad still has warts. PSG’s two UEFA Champions League wins at home are a prime example of how good the team can be.
Nonetheless, as the January transfer window nears, RMC Sports’ Fabrice Hawkins reports that the Ligue 1 side’s winter transfer strategy is twofold, with a keen eye on bolstering the midfield and shoring up the defense.

PSG’s intentions are evident in the defensive department, but a specific direction remains undecided. The club faces a pivotal choice between securing the services of a seasoned left-back or a central defender.
The impending winter transfer window represents a critical juncture for PSG. If the Parisians want to win both domestic trophies and possibly make a deep run in the Champions League, should they advance, they’ll need to sure up any weaknesses.
So we’ll have 4 left backs or what? Kurzawa, Nuno, Lucas and a new guy? The club needs to get rid of Soler, Ekitike, Ruiz, Kurzawa and Ramos or Kolo Muani.
