The January transfer window is about to open, allowing Paris Saint-Germain winger Kylian Mbappé to begin pre-contract talks with other clubs.
What will the 24-year-old do? It remains a mystery. However, RMC Sport pundit Jérôme Rothen provided his information on the Mbappé file. Furthermore, the pundit has a somewhat optimistic outlook regarding a possible extension at PSG.
“It’s a certainty Kylian Mbappé has not made his decision,” Rothen said (h/t Canal Supporters). “Nothing is decided. He doesn’t know today whether he’s going to stay or go. When I see him and hear him with his teammates, he is much happier than last year. There are still some unmistakable signs. Indeed, anything can happen today.
“I have a feeling. I think everything happening at the club today is making him happy. He is certainly finding fulfillment that he had lost a little during the last few months at Paris Saint-Germain.”
During a recent press conference, Mbappé refused to answer any questions about PSG or his future. The 24-year-old notes that when speaking as captain of the French national team, the questions should be about Les Bleus.
It will be interesting to see how this transfer saga plays out. Before deciding, Mbappé’s decision will likely depend on how PSG does in the UEFA Champions League.
