In a couple of months, Kylian Mbappé can begin talking with clubs and agree to a pre-contract with any club. However, Real Madrid is likely the team that pushes and hopes to ink the 24-year-old for a contract that starts next season.
Nonetheless, El Chiringuito host Josep Pedrerol wonders: if the Spanish club does pursue the Frenchman, where will he play? The reason for this question is that Los Blancos inked Vinícius Júnior to a contract extension on Tuesday.
“What does Madrid do with Vinícius if Mbappé comes?” Pedrerol said. “He is worse on the right, and Kylian wants to play on the left.”

Pedrerol notes that Mbappé likes to play the left wing, which is also the Brazilian’s role. As a result, if Real Madrid lands the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner, someone will need to play out of position on the right wing.
Mbappé stated he’s not a No. 9, so PSG recruited two strikers for the position. Should he move to Spain, that could end Rodrygo’s playing time with the Spanish side. It will be interesting to see whether this becomes a significant point in discussions.
