Paris Saint-Germain winger Kylian Mbappé has to decide on his future relatively soon. The forward will become a free agent after the 2023-24 season. However, should he leave PSG, he’ll give them financial flexibility.
RMC Sport has reported that the French sensation has reached a unique financial agreement with the club.
The outlet reports that Mbappé and PSG have reached an agreement whereby Mbappé will receive a significant portion of the money owed to him, approximately €80 million, as performance-based bonuses, which will be deferred.

Despite this financial maneuver, PSG remains keen on securing Mbappé’s long-term commitment, as the club reportedly seeks to extend his contract. The ball, it seems, is now firmly in Mbappé’s court.
As the January transfer window approaches, the 24-year-old has attracted interest from various Premier League clubs and Real Madrid. The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner can begin talks over a pre-contract that begins next season as soon as the calendar turns to 2024.
