FC Barcelona confirmed that Gavi tore his anterior cruciate ligament while playing for Spain on Sunday and will be out for the rest of the season. The 19-year-old will also undergo surgery later this week for an injury to the lateral meniscus.
There is no set timetable for his return, but his injury is likely to prevent Gavi from participating in the UEFA Euro 2024 and the Olympic Games with Spain next summer.
