The Kylian Mbappé transfer saga has undergone twists and turns these days. Initially, information from Spain revealed that Real Madrid was ruling out signing the 24-year-old.
However, in France, the reporting revealed that’s not the case. Los Blancos remain interested in the Frenchman. Furthermore, the report claims that the Spanish giants put the information out there in case of another Mbappé rejection.
Nonetheless, Real Madrid’s sporting officials are aware of the debate among Merengue fans about the suitability of this signing, especially after what happened in recent summers.
Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda is one of the media members taking a swipe at the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
“Mbappé is Madrid’s great obsession, but we are dealing with a player who is a moneybag,” Inda said (h/t Defensa Central). “He puts money before titles.”
All eyes will be on what the PSG winger will do with his future. Mbappé will become a free agent in June 2024, and Real Madrid feels this is finally the year they land the winger. Meanwhile, PSG remains calm about the situation, hoping they can secure their star player for the future.
