MARCA: This Barcelona Player Has Trouble Replacing Ousmane Dembélé

When Ousmane Dembélé left FC Barcelona this past summer, the Frenchman’s departure opened the door for Raphinha to take over the right-wing position. However, that hasn’t been the case.

MARCA reports that after three months of competition, the international has not yet earned the trust of Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez. Injuries, suspension, or long trips with his national team are not helping him find consistency either.

The Spanish media outlet notes that Xavi has opted for Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres on the right wing. As a result, all these options left the Brazilian on the bench.

On the left, where Raphinha can also play, although he is not as comfortable, the competition is fierce. As of today, Joao Félix seems untouchable, although, with the return of all the injured, Gavi could also opt for that position.

Last season, the Brazilian delivered when he had to replace Dembelé due to injury. This course is still waiting for the best version of Raphinha. For now, injuries and long international trips have not spared him.
