Luis Enrique’s Candid Response to Ousmane Dembélé’s Stellar First PSG Goal

Paris Saint-Germain defeated AS Monaco 5-2 at Parc des Princes on Friday night. Ousmane Dembélé scored his first goal for the French giants to get that burden off his shoulders.

It was a think-fast type of player where Dembélé received the ball and fired off a rocket to beat the AS Monaco goalkeeper. After the match, manager Luis Enrique offered his thoughts on the winger finally getting on the board in the goal-scoring department.

The Spanish tactician was happy to see that the winger was finally going to score his first goal with PSG.

“His goal is 100% pure Dembélé,” Enrique told reporters (h/t Culture PSG). “A left control with the outside of the ankle and a spectacular right shot that lodges in the top of the goal. This goal rewards him. It’s good. Despite all the noise around him, I have been delighted with what Ousmane has been doing since day one.

“He is the most unbalancing player in the world, in my opinion, without a doubt. He always plays to hurt the opponent, give assists, eliminate players, and generate superiority. He is a very spectacular player, and I like having a player of this profile on my team.”

If PSG wants to beat Newcastle United next week, a confident Dembélé could be a game-changer for the French giants, putting the capital club with one foot in the knockout stages.

Dembélé has become a creator for PSG so far this 2023-24 season. However, consistent goal-scoring by the winger can be a game-changer for PSG, who aim for a deep Champions League run.
