Lille Wonderkid’s Bold Move in Face of PSG, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich Interest

Paris Saint-Germain reportedly wants to inject youth into their center-back position. As a result, they’re currently eyeing Lille OSC’s Leny Yoro to continue with their philosophy of adding top French talent.

Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna and Sébastien Denis recently reported that Yoro is the Parisians’ priority for the winter transfer window. His profile is unanimous internally, and the Ligue 1 side wants to get ahead of the competition from Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

However, PSG might have to wait sometime to land the teenager. According to L’Equipe, Yoro will not leave Lille when the January transfer window opens in a few weeks.

Despite the player becoming very popular with PSG, he wants to finish the season in Lille and has yet to decide on his future. The decision shouldn’t be surprising, considering where Lille finds itself in the Ligue 1 standings.

Les Dogues are fighting for a UEFA Champions League spot next season. They sit in fourth place, which is a qualification position, but is also one point behind Monaco, who is in an automatic spot. So, it wouldn’t be the wisest decision to weaken their squad for the second half of the 2023-24 season.
