Kang-in Lee Earns Praise from Luis Enrique After PSG’s Win vs. Montpellier

Paris Saint-Germain’s Kang-in Lee continues his excellent form since returning to the French capital after the 2023 Asian Games.

The 22-year-old has two goals and one assist in his last three games for PSG in all competitions. Lee opened the scoring in the 3-0 win over Montpellier on Friday night at the Parc des Princes.

After the match, manager Luis Enrique had much praise for the South Korean player. Lee is gaining more and more confidence with each game, and his performance isn’t getting lost on the Spanish tactician.

“Kang-in Lee is a player I know very well since he played in Spain before,” Enrique told reporters postgame. “He is a magnificent signing from Luis Campos and the club.

“Kang-in Lee is very attractive to the fans because he makes an effort, does not lose the ball, resists pressure, scores goals, and gives assists. He has a great hunger to play. This hunger is very important for the development of a player.”

The former RCD Mallorca star will now look to play an essential role for PSG in their UEFA Champions League contest on Tuesday against AC Milan at the San Siro. Lee could help the Ligue 1 giants put themselves in a favorable position to clinch a knockout stage spot.

A win or a draw definitely places the French side in a spot to control their destiny heading into the final two matchdays.
