Paris Saint-Germain could be looking to bolster its midfield with the January transfer window opening in a few weeks. The capital club could also act on its recent transfer policy of pursuing top French talent.
This past summer, the Ligue 1 side added four quality French players who identify with what it means to PSG. As a result, their search for another midfielder follows this same thought process.
Foot Mercato’s Santi Aouna and Sébastien Denis report that OGC Nice’s Khéphren Thuram and AS Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana are among the midfield profiles that PSG appreciates.

Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see whether these two Ligue 1 teams decide to sell within the league to PSG or favor a sale abroad. Fofana and Thuram have markets outside of France, so there will be plenty of competition.
The question will be whether sporting advisor Luis Campos decides to pursue the two players or favors one over the other. Still, adding either of these French internationals would improve PSG’s midfield, which is trending in the right direction.
