The January transfer window is nearing, so the topic of Kylian Mbappé and where he’ll play next season is a topic of conversation. It feels like every day, there’s something distinct regarding the Frenchman, so this week was no different.
Spanish pundit Roberto Gómez stated on El Desmarque de Madrugada that Real Madrid would already sign Mbappé. The 24-year-old cannot sign a contract with another club until January 1. As a result, if Gómez is accurate with his information, then it’s likely a handshake agreement.
Furthermore, Gómez states that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has signed him for some time. He also says that Real Madrid will announce the signing during the January transfer window.
It will be interesting to see if signing a pre-contract is the approach that Mbappé takes. PSG can still be alive in the UEFA Champions League and preparing for the knockout stages.
Should PSG make it to the Round of 16, it’s doubtful that the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will decide in January. Nonetheless, in the Mbappé saga, everyone should expect the unexpected.
