Real Madrid wants to deny talks with Kylian Mbappé after recent reports in Spain suggest that they have an agreement with the 24-year-old. Nonetheless, the question is: Why did they address these rumors?
Recently, Spanish pundit Roberto Gómez stated on El Desmarque de Madrugada that Real Madrid would already have signed Mbappé.
Furthermore, Gómez states that Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has signed him for some time. He also says that Real Madrid will announce the signing during the January transfer window.
As a result, transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano revealed the reasoning behind Los Blancos debunking rumors that they’re negotiating with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
Romano reports that Real Madrid aims to avoid creating issues between Mbappé and PSG, particularly at this point in the season. The club desires to maintain a low profile and keep things calm. Madrid’s primary objective for the summer of 2024 continues to be acquiring Mbappé.

It will be intriguing to see if signing a pre-contract is the method that Mbappé uses. PSG can still be alive in the UEFA Champions League and preparing for the knockout stages. In 2022, he opted to wait until after PSG’s run in Europe ended before deciding. As a result, we could see this same plan used in 2023.
