Expert Offers Donnarumma Advice Ahead of PSG’s Clash vs. Newcastle

Paris Saint-Germain will welcome Newcastle United to the Parc des Princes on Tuesday night. A win in the UEFA Champions League clash would be a significant result for the capital club in advancing to the knockout stage.

For PSG, all they need is two wins, and they’re into the round of 16. Nonetheless, it’s easier said than done. French football pundit Bixente Lizarazu offered advice for the Ligue 1 side on Gianluigi Donnarumma that they could implement in their matchup against the Magpies.

“[Donnarumma] is a goalkeeper who is uncomfortable with his feet,” Lizarazu said on Téléfoot (h/t Paris Fans). “We must not put him in situations where he has to play with his feet.

“He is very, very strong in other aspects. You simply have to play less with him. He hasn’t progressed enormously; it’s always recurring; we must avoid playing with him too much.”

Meanwhile, Newcastle will be arriving at the Parc des Princes with injuries. Manager Eddie Howe shared the injury status of two players after their win over Chelsea on Saturday.

Barely back from several months of absence, midfielder Joe Willock was injured again in training on the eve of the game against Chelsea. Furthermore, Sean Longstaff, who scored in the first leg against PSG, has yet to recover from his injury.

While his ankle problems were supposed to disappear during the break, the midfielder was still not fit this Saturday. It will be interesting to see if these two absences affect Howe and Co. against PSG.
