Aston Villa and Argentina national team goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez continues to talk about Kylian Mbappé. The veteran shot-stopper recently praised the 24-year-old, and the applause from the Argentine doesn’t stop.
Mbappé came in third in the 2023 Ballon d’Or award. Ahead of the Frenchman were Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and his former Paris Saint-Germain teammate Lionel Messi, who won his eighth award.
Nonetheless, the Aston Villa star gave a bold prediction, as he sees the PSG winger winning the individual award plenty of times in the future.
“Is Kylian Mbappé the strongest forward you have faced? Yes, clearly,” Martínez said. “I think when Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will retire from football, Kylian will follow the way. He will win a lot of Ballon d’Or’s.”

The French national team captain will have an opportunity to beef up his candidacy for the Ballon d’Or. Aside from club football, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner can win the 2024 UEFA Euro and a gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
So, this run of Ballon d’Ors could begin next year for Mbappé. It will be interesting to see if he can take advantage with no more Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the picture.
