Transfer Gossip: PSG and Manchester United Linked with AC Milan’s Top Defender

This summer, Paris Saint-Germain implemented a new transfer policy for recruiting French talent, especially those from the area. The capital club brought Lucas Hernandez, Ousmane Dembélé, and Randal Kolo Muani.

However, the addition of French talent is continuing for PSG. La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports (h/t TeamTalk) that PSG is one of the clubs having an interest in AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez.

If the Ligue 1 giants target a left-back of Hernandez’s caliber, it does mean they have serious concerns for Nuno Mendes. The Portugal international recently had surgery after a groin injury, which will keep him sidelined for four months.

When Mendes returns, he’ll likely need to show he’s 100 percent ready. If not, PSG will need to consider other options at the left-back position. As for now, Lucas fills the job, but he can slide to the left center-back role and have his brother occupy the position.

Marquinhos and Milan Skriniar are right-footed center-backs, so Lucas would provide something different. Nonetheless, if PSG does want Theo, they’ll have competition just like those competing in Blue Wizard Slot

The Italian media outlet also reports that Manchester United wants to make a transfer play for the Frenchman. The Red Devils have encountered some issues at left-back this season because of injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

Aware of the rising interest in the 26-year-old, AC Milan wants to renew Theo’s contract beyond its current expiry date of 2026. It will be interesting to see whether Manchester United or PSG can secure the transfer of the Milan star.
