Transfer News: Latest on Crystal Palace, West Ham Target as January Approaches

The future of Hugo Ekitike isn’t with Paris Saint-Germain. After the young striker couldn’t get a move this past summer, he’s become an afterthought with the French giants.

Ekitke drew interest from Premier League clubs like Crystal Palace and West Ham United. However, no move occurred, but that doesn’t mean the interest in the Frenchman isn’t there despite the lack of football this 2023-24 season.

Foot Mercato reported on Saturday that an English club whose name has not been leaked is still very interested and could go on the offensive this winter. Who could that team be?

Might it be Crystal Palace since they’ve only scored eight goals in 10 Premier League matches so far? If it’s a Premier League side, it will be a team looking for added goal help.

In Ligue 1, only some clubs can afford to relaunch the French striker except as part of a loan with high salary coverage. Ekitike currently receives 600,000 euros gross per month until June 2027.

A permanent sale is the solution that PSG favors, as it wants to move on from the striker when the January transfer window opens.
