Liverpool’s Salah and PSG’s Mbappé Helping Chelsea Youngster Improve Goal Tally

Although Kylian Mbappé is only 24 years old, the Paris Saint-Germain star is already serving as a role model for players younger than him.

Chelsea’s Noni Madueke has been studying Mbappé and Liverpool FC’s Mohamed Salah’s scoring instincts as he bids to enhance his strike-rate. The 21-year-old is one of the young talents that the Blues are betting on to be a fixture for the foreseeable future.

As a result, Madueke isn’t relying just on his skillset. He’s going into the film room and analyzing what makes other talented wingers successful, such as Mbappé and Salah, and see what he can implement into his game.

“I look at the best,” Madueke told the Evening Standard. “James Ryder, our analyst, clipped up Mbappe and Salah, so I watch them a lot. The way they always follow their pass into the box, or when a team-mate is in the box, they’re always there to anticipate.

“One thing I’ve got to add to my game is the easier goals, the one-touch goals – that’s what I’m trying to improve. I know I go at such a pace so sometimes I’ve got to calm down at the last moment, take a breath and then slot it away. I’ve just got to keep working so I can do it when I get back to Chelsea.”

The Chelsea forward starred as England Under-21s crushed Serbia 9-1 in Nottingham on Thursday. Madueke scored twice as the Young Lions ran riot for the lopsided win.

Furthermore, this could show the young winger that studying top players like Mbappé and Salah is paying off, so don’t expect that to stop.
