Over the last two years, Kylian Mbappé has been linked to Real Madrid. However, no move to the Spanish capital has occurred. Still, the rumors persist, especially now that the Frenchman could become a free agent after this 2023-24 season.
The prospect of seeing Mbappé with Real Madrid excites Vinicius Jr., who would welcome the 24-year-old with open arms. In an interview with France Football (h/t Le10Sport), the Brazilian spoke about possibly playing with the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
“It’s different!” Kylian has his situation,” Vinicius told the French media outlet. “Jude [Bellingham], I knew he could move this summer. And it’s perfect that it happened like that.
“Here [at Real Madrid], everyone wants to play with Kylian. I hope it will happen one day. He is one of the best players, perhaps the best of all today. He has a level … of his own.”
Mbappé will have a decision to make soon. The France national team captain can remain in his hometown and be at the center of this new PSG project. Nonetheless, there’s the other option of going abroad and playing for Los Blancos.
Real Madrid will likely come hard with a full-court press to sign Mbappé to a pre-contract once the January transfer window opens. The Spanish giants probably want to avoid the saga lingering into the second half of their season.
However, it seems Mbappé will wait until after PSG’s UEFA Champions League run to determine his future.
