Kylian Mbappé can become a free agent after the 2023-24 season. The Frenchman has yet to decide on his future, but one of the possible destinations is Real Madrid.
Los Blancos have long had their eyes on the 24-year-old, and can 2023 be the year they finally land him? MARCA’s Ramón Álvarez de Mont (h/t Defensa Central) provided the latest on this saga. One of the bits of information he revealed is about Real Madrid’s relationship with Fayza Lamari, Mbappé’s agent and mother.
According to the Spanish communicator, club president Florentino Pérez is not obsessed with signing the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner. Furthermore, Álvarez notes that Mbappé has a January deadline to sign a pre-contract, as it seems Real Madrid doesn’t want this saga to drag out any further.
“His mother represents him and knows the conditions,” Álvarez said. “There is a deal between Fayza and Florentino, but there is no longer that point of obsession with Mbappé that made him not go for Haaland … Florentino does not know if Mbappé will sign … Fayza has guaranteed him that they want to go to the Bernabéu.”
The January transfer window is approaching, and the PSG star may need to decide on his career, especially if the Ligue 1 side remains in the UEFA Champions League.
