Paris Saint-Germain loanee Xavi Simons is off to a quality start with RB Leipzig. The 20-year-old is carrying the momentum from last season while playing for PSV Eindhoven.
Simons’ potential resulted in PSG executing the option to trigger his buy-back clause and proceeding to loan him out to the German club. However, other clubs are expressing interest in the Dutchman to see if the Ligue 1 giants are willing to sell.
90min France reports that Manchester City and FC Barcelona are interested in Xavi Simons. However, PSG has made it clear to all interested suitors that the Dutchman is not for sale.

Despite RB Leipzig’s efforts to retain Simons beyond his one-year loan, Paris has declined their attempts. The youngster has appeared in nine matches for the Bundesliga side, scoring three goals and registering four assists.
PSG views the midfielder as the future, whether or not that includes Kylian Mbappé. As a result, it’s why the Ligue 1 giants are turning down any interest from rival clubs. For now, supporters will be keen on seeing Simons’ development and envisioning him in the squad next season.
