PSG, Chelsea, & Ajax Among Teams Eyeing Corinthians’ Teenage Talent – Report

Over the last few days, Paris Saint-Germain has had its name associated with some of the young talents out of Brazil. The capital club is reportedly eyeing Flamengo’s Lorran Lucas; however, there’s also Corinthian’s Wesley.

According to Brazilian journalist Jorge Nicola, PSG, alongside Chelsea, Ajax, and Zenit St. Petersburg, have sparked genuine interest in the European market.

Last Thursday, Real Betis contacted the player’s team, expressing their desire to sign him permanently at the end of this year for €8 million, equivalent to R$42.6 million.

Corinthians will be officially notified of this proposal this week. However, a deal seems unlikely as the club only owns 70 percent of the 18-year-old’s economic rights and believes Wesley’s value has already surpassed the €10 million mark.

The São Paulo native is under contract with Corinthians until 2027. As a result, the Brazilian side has leverage in the asking price.

In addition to his youth and international experience, Wesley’s skillful dribbling sets him apart in football. So far in 2023, the striker has accumulated 24 appearances with two goals and one assist.
